Pühapäeval, 31. mail toimuvale SEB 28. Tartu Rattarallile on praeguseks registreerunud 3480 spordihuvilist, mis on märksa rohkem kui mullu samal ajal. Neist 1750 võtab ette 125km distantsi. Tartu Rattaralli peakorraldaja Indrek Kelgu sõnul on tegemist viimaste aastate parima tulemusega. „Oleme valmis osalejate arvu teatavaks kasvuks võrreldes eelmise aastaga. Kuni 4000 ratturi teenindamisega probleeme ei tule,“ kinnitab Kelk. Tema sõnul pani möödunud aastal oma nime Tartu Rattarallile kirja 3692 rattasõpra, kellest 1786 valis pikema ja 1906 lühema distantsi. Võrreldes möödunud korraga on suurimateks muudatusteks stardiaegade nihkumine tunni võrra varasemaks ning ümberkorraldused Lõuna-Eestis kulgevatel radadel. 125km rada on varasemast erinev lõigul Ihamaru – Saverna – Valgjärve – Otepää. Lühem 61km distants kulgeb eelmise aastaga võrreldes vastassuunas. Tartu Rattaralli kuulub Estonian Cycling Weekendi programmi ning on kolmepäevase rattapeo kõige rahvasportlikum osa.
